ZIO2

I received a brief from one of my clients in Taipei, Taiwan. The brief was about an oxygen inhaler product design and the logo that will carry it. Its target market was Japan where such products are popular particularly among young Japanese women where they like to social and party carrying a range of oxygen products. Even oxygen bars are “it” place to meet up.

The brief was quite straightforward  – “a portable product for female use”. After doing research and brainstorming with colleagues, I have come up with this small hand-hold device measuring 11mm x 11mm. The smallest oxygen cylinder manufacturers could produce at the time.

ZIO2 was the brand. I designed a 12 dots element connected together to make a circle which represents the old Chinese/Japanese time count, (in the ancient oriental world, one hour was equivalent to two hour current time). It also means the product can be used any time of the day with the circles representing perfection.

The outer case was minimalistic and slick with smooth body for easy hold and application. As its quite small, the product can be carried any size purse easily without taking up too much space. It is also very light and can be used for up to 3 hours on a single charge.

It took a total of one year to complete the overall design concept and another 6 months to ship the final product to the market.

Pacific Sin

Pacific Sin is a clothing company based in London England.
The owner, Mr Perry always have an eye for style and usability,
a keen eye for “comfortable fashion”.

Unlike most of the underwear made for men, he likes men’s underwear to be more discreet, not showing any logo or recognisable branding. That’s when the Pacific Sin brand was born. High quality garments with simplest cut made from just
two pieces of fabrics joint at the seams and for total comfortable to whole day.

I received the project to design the brand’s logo, packaging, waist band, label look book and the brochure design. Mr Perry was a lover of Art Deco era and it was where i drew the inspiration from for the logo with simple red and blue lines signifying eternity.
